Unborn Memorials

National Memorial for the Unborn
Chattanooga, TN

The National Memorial for the Unborn is dedicated to healing generations of pain associated with the loss of aborted children. On the site where 35,000 babies died, the memory of unborn children is honored.

The Memorial features a fifty foot granite "Wall of Names" which holds small brass plates with words of remembrance placed by mothers, fathers and other family members from all over the country.

The Memorial also includes the original painting "I Will Hold You In Heaven," historical markers, and a Remembrance Garden. The Pool of Tears is dedicated to the memory of children lost to miscarriage.

Plates on the "Wall of Names" are for aborted children only.

A Cry Without A Voice

Mothers and fathers honor and remember their aborted children through selecting a pair of baby shoes and attaching a card of commemoration.

The baby shoes have been displayed in the United States, Israel, and Holland with the project “A Cry Without a Voice” under the care of Rebecca Porter.

Deeply moved by seeing the shoes, others have wanted to honor brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews, and grandchildren killed by abortion. Fathers have also selected shoes in memory of their aborted children.

The project touches people’s hearts and provides a powerful visual of the impact of abortion. It allows women to talk about the deep pain of abortion and the forgiveness and healing of Jesus Christ. It also allows them to give honor and dignity to their babies’ lives.

Unborn Memorials Online

This is the place to give love and honor to those who have been lost before they were born. Whether your child was miscarried, stillborn or aborted, the love you may have for that child will remain forever. Since in most cases, we don't have burials for these little ones to remember them by, an online memorial can be a helpful alternative.

The Stephan Project / Quilt of the Unborn Child

The Quilt of the Unborn Child is a memorial quilt dedicated to expressing love and dignity for the millions of children who died by abortion. The quilt will consist of 24-inch squares, with each square honoring one child. The squares will be assembled into quilt panels that will be displayed in public locations around the country, and overseas, as well.

The quilt is a way for anyone who has been touched by abortion to express what is deep in their hearts towards these departed loved ones. A homemade quilt square is a comforting and beautiful way to tangibly express those feelings. It gives us a way to say: " I'm sorry"; or "I love you"; or "I wish you were here". For many, the quilt offers the permission to grieve once denied, and a gateway to healing. For others, they may find the closure they seek to begin a new life.

The goal is to have one square for every child that has died. We welcome all who wish to participate in this act of remembrance:

  • Fathers and mothers who have had an abortion;
  • Family members of the aborted child;
  • Those who helped, or participated in, an abortion;
  • Those who know someone who died because of an abortion;
  • Caring people who desire to promote the healing and restoration of post-abortive people.

Garden of Hope
Grand Rapids, Michigan

 For those who suffered the pain of abortion, miscarriage, or death of a child, there is now a place for to bring grief and pain. The Garden of Hope offers the opportunity to come away privately to mourn the loss and to memorialize the unborn child.

In the center of the garden is the life-size bronze sculpture entitled "HOPE." This wonderful sculpture depicts the welcoming grace and loving heart of Jesus. Every detail of the Garden of Hope is designed to bring the comfort that only God can give.

The Garden is open at all times. In the words of one post-abortive visitor, "The Garden of Hope is amazing...it brings to light the reality of my abortion and the reality of God's love for me. I can never take back what I did but I CAN move forward because of the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ."

You are warmly invited at Eastern Avenue and 36th Street in Grand Rapids, MI, in Restlawn Memorial Park.
